Special Edition of The Great Gatsby (Redesigned cover + 5 additional interpretive covers, only 10 copies)

  • 1 Sep, 2022

This is a special edition, limited quantity, collector's edition of The Great Gatsby. What's so special about it? A few things.

  1. This is an NFT, that I created on stck.me without need any knowledge of web3, crypto currency, or wallets. This is huge for writers - no other platform in the world puts the power of web3 into writers' hands without having to jump through complicated hoops.

  2. This limited edition has a unique book cover, and 5 additional covers of my imagination - the seed here is if The Great Gatsby cover was designed by an Indian American influenced by Mughal Art.

  3. Only 10 people can buy this. Each buyer can then go ahead and sell it to other collectors on Stck's own marketplace (coming soon) or on other current NFT marketplaces (already supported).

Enjoy this Digital Collectible, and join us on the journey of transforming how writers around the make money!

If you are interesting in joining the small beta program where writers can create and NFTs on stck.me, check out stck.me/nft.

Tejas and Kabir Save The World

Stories of two best friends, Tejas and Kabir, who together got the super-power of turning themselves into ants. They go around town, helping people with their superpowers. My 6 year old son is the reason for creating these characters - this started as a bedtime story routine, and turned into a regular thing that we know get a lot of joy from. I am putting it out there for the world so that other parents looking for unique, cheesy bedtime stories can use them. I will publish regular chapters every few days with unique art work to make it fun.

The Future of Fiction: Why Publishing Your Novel in Chapters is the Way to Go

As a fiction writer, one of the most important aspects of your craft is finding the most effective way to monetize your work. While traditional methods, such as publishing an entire book as a standalone e-book, can be effective, there is a more lucrative and efficient option available: publishing your novel in chapters.

Pricing an e-book is too complicated. There is a simpler solution.

For the last 18 months, we have been on a mission to help writers make money and we have been successful at it. Amongst many things that we have learned along the way, one of the most important ones is how difficult it is for writers to decide how to price their e-books or posts that they want to sell as a one-off.

Busting a myth - Indian fans don't pay for content

I have been hearing this for at least 6 years now - Indian fans will not pay creators or for their content. They want everything for free, and therefore Facebook/Instagram/YouTube/(list all other short video apps) want creators to just give away all of their content. I personally have seen enough examples where Indian fans are happy to pay for content and do so regularly. Instead of boring you with theory, here are actual examples of fans paying creators for their content - either by contributing $$ to their creation process, or by buying their content.

Independent Identity is the foundation for a new internet

The internet of today for "users" is mostly tied to a social identity that users don't own - see the most popular websites and apps, and almost every one of them requires a unique identity to use them. Not so unique, then?

Busting a myth: Indian creators can't make money

At ScrollStack, it's literally "our business" to help creators make money from their fans/followers. On this journey, the most sceptical ones are the creators themselves. Here is what I hear most commonly as I have conversations with creators from across India:

  • Why would fans pay to support your creative work? Why would fans pay to support your creative work?

Why would fans pay to support your creative work?

You are an author, podcaster, photographer, journalist or a social media celebrity. You have 2K+ followers on Instagram or on Facebook and your tweets regularly get 100+ retweets. People love you. They spend hours enjoying your work. But, you don’t make any money from it. The platforms - Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter don’t share revenues. You spend a lot of time on your creations that no one pays for, and you end up chasing clueless sponsors/advertisers. There is an obvious resolution of this paradox - your most passionate fans should pay you directly, and support your work.
